This is a slightly different sleep issue than others are having. I just got a MBP and I normally keep it hooked up to an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse. When I'm going to bed I try to put it into sleep mode and it won't do it. It will go into sleep mode and then pop right out of it. Last night it did it if I disconnected the power cord. Any ideas?

Maybe one of your peripherals is waking it up. Try with everything disconnected.

Thing is that this is my second MBP this month. The first one had to be switched out because it had some kernel panic issues involving the aircard. The previous unit didn't do this. I'll give it a try without the perips though.

From what I can tell, it seems to only do it when the power cord is plugged in.
