Hi guys,

When i watched YouTube with my 2010 MBP, the temperature would go up to 170F with Lion. I'm not sure if Flash was updated or if it was because I changed to SSD, but now the temperature would only go up to 140F max while watching YouTube.

I'd like to know if this is happening to anyone - whether their MBP temperature has decreased while watching YouTube in their non-SSD harddrives, or if it's the SSD that solved this problem.

Dunno why you experienced differing temps, but I wouldn't ascribe this to the SSD; perhaps you had fewer background processes running?
In any case, Flash does make the computer heat up (that's not the computer's or the OS's fault, Flash is just primitive as ****).
Try googling HTML 5 Youtube, that should explain how to avoid using Flash on Youtube, really quite nice.

Just tried the html 5 trial on youtube. It looks like, according to my activity monitor, that html 5 uses just a teeny bit more cpu % than flash. I didn't see decrease in cpu temperature either...
