I'm using my MBP 16" w 5500m in clamshell mode, one monitor attached. Radeon high side is 6-9w so that's not the issue. For some reason, even though my CPU temperatures are 70-75 degrees C, my fans are full blast. Any ideas why this would be happening?? 70-75 degrees isn't even that hot for a CPU, is it??

I've only had mine for a couple of weeks but never noticed it higher than 65. Do you see anything using a lot of CPU cycles in activity monitor?

Actually I'm not sure which sensor I'm supposed to judge off of.. here's the screenshot.

Half-guessing here but my bet would be on "thunderbolt right proximity" temp.

I have this mbp and when i am doing browsing web etc i have cpu gpu temps like 38C

I had Logic running at the time, but I was using 200% CPU or so. Most cores were not active.
