Hi everyone,
Have a base model MBPR that I ordered on launch day, which I myself upgraded to Mountain Lion (installed over Lion, not a clean install)
I've been having two issues:
1) Often times the computer does not wake up from sleep. I have installed all of the Mountain Lion updates, but they did not seem to help fix this. I often times have to hold down the power button and hard reset the computer to get it to turn on.
2) The machine seems to act funny (incorrectly) with respect to external displays. When I plug in a HDTV via HDMI, the only way I can get it to output to the TV is to restart the computer. If I plug it in while the MBP is on, it doesn't recognize that a TV has been plugged in. I have to restart in order to get it to output.
The same is happening with external monitors over Thunderbolt. Sometimes they will display, but then cut out later. Does running GFXStatus have anything to do with this? I keep it set to Dynamic Switching, but I didn't know if that could goof anything up. I will try disabling it for a few days and reporting back, but I can't think that it has anything to do with the sleep issues.
Thanks for the time/comments!
