Yeah well those are US dollars. I verfied before buying. This would've made 1230$ without tax. Considering the dollar would've been the same as CAD I would have gone with that. But it would have been almost the same

I guess that's a good deal. You're still under warranty till October.

I can't believe they are selling a poorer mac for a higher price right now... If you don't chose MBP with force touch you get an old MBP with old graphic card and no SSD

Apple stopped selling the non retina macbook pro here in the US already. It's only available in the refurb store.

It's a crime that Apple is still charging that much money for a computer with the inferior display of the Air's. It's not the Air is a bad machine, it's just that so many other manufacturers have surpassed its display quality by now. If you're making a decision right now, I think the Pro is a no-brainer.

Even so, it's a genuine mystery to me why it IS still there. It's too expensive to be a good entry machine and too feature-poor to be a good value at that price.
