MP 6,1 MCA Error E5 2667v2

Hi Guys ,

Recently upgraded my Mac Pro 2013 and been suffering an issue where about 1 min after boot it will crash and reboot, but this will not always be the case… it also boots and works fine with no issues , but when ever it does crash , I have the MCA Architecture error I have searched for it on here but not found anything really ,

I am running the current Firmware on Montereys latest build. Any help would be great fully appreciated

just ordered an E5-2667 v2 to swap against my E5-2697 v2 (higher single core benefits my workflow more than the 12/24 threads).
The 2667 was never an official config from Apple and I always wondered if it would make a difference in regard to support/stability.
Will hold off until someone has shed some light on the matter...

Unfortunately with the RAM upgrade I just did I still have the same Problem. Constant rebooting unless I’m lucky and it stays on, it’s either a faulty CPU or it’s just not liking the firmware. So looks like I’m going to go to the 12 core which is officially supported. Bummer. I needed the single core .

I upgraded to a 2667 2 months ago and it's been working like a champ. Slightly higher Geekbench scores than the 1680 I had previously. I also upgraded to Ventura on Monday and things are still working great.

I can send you my removed 1680 if you want, it's almost identical in performance to the 2667.

I wanted to get a 2673 if possible since it has the same specs as the 2667 but a slightly lower TDP. Unfortunately it was an OEM chip and there aren't as many available and they were about $100USD on ebay whereas the 2667 was $25USD for me. The 3% performance increase didn't really matter, I just wanted to do it because I could, and it was cheap-enough for that. A lot of others have upgraded to the 2667 and have had success. What I was surprised to see was that in Geekbench the name of my computer model changed after I did the upgrade.
