Hi

Is it possible to connect the following to a simple home network setup?

MCB USB hdd USB Printer/30MB cable broadband

I'm trying to achieve disconnecting/reconnecting external hdd -usb/Printer USB

Options please:) -without buying a wireless HDD/Wireless Printer!

Thanks

Stephen

Thanks:)...ive been hovering various products via amazonUK today.
Airport Extreme it is then!
The thing must have OS X support in the first place, i.e. working OS X printer drivers. If you can print to the device directly from your Mac's USB port, then you should be able to print also via AirPort. You will need the same printer driver installed in every Mac you intend to use.
Basically, this AirPort simply extends your USB port wirelessly to it's own back panel.

AirPort Extreme will let you connect a USB disk and USB printer to the router.

Yes, I'm doing the same with my old Time Capsule. Don't forget you'll need a USB hub (probably a powered/plugged-in one) to connect both devices to the Airport Extreme.

Powered can't hurt, although if the hard drive has its own power supply a passive hub would probably work fine, I really like this design:

If the hard drive is bus-powered, you'll definitely want a powered hub. Plugable has always done well for me:

Just the external hdd to try via usb hub

finally got airport extreme WD My Passport setup, currently using carbon copy cloner for a 'wireless backup' of macbook hd

Is there any advice on to improve the wireless transfer rate:confused:

e.g. data copied 29.97 meg
time elapsed 47 mins

30 Meg Virgin Mediu broadband U.K

Thanks
