Trust me when I say this though, in no way shape or form do I have any fast food chain or electronic device to blame for any of my physical features. But I do have Victoria's Secret to thank for my rockin' rack and their awesome bras!!!

As with any rumor on this site, I will not believe it without pictures. ;)

But yeah, genetic makeup is just as much a part of the determining factor of obesity as anything else. Some people can eat as much food as they want and don't grow fat.

Videogames aren't directly responsible for obesity. They're simply responsible for making many kids less physically active.

So if it weren't for Video games the world would be full of thin pacifists....

Yeah, I wish I was born before pong was made. ;) Those hippies had it all.

Very smart of the McDonalds CEO. He found a scapegoat to shift attention to.

I like how video games are the new scapegoat for everything. Maybe it will be the new one for "my son/daughter is gay" soon.

I agree with the sentiment that there is no one factor that causes obesity (at a societal level).

Just to add one more - urbanization. Kids are losing parks and playgrounds to more skyscrapers, parking lots, highways, shopping malls, etc. and with more traffic in the streets than ever, no one can play stick ball without the fear of getting run over.

I recently stopped at a McDonald's in Black River Falls, WI (exit 116 on I-94) and what did my wife and I see? Two kiosks where kids can play....

yep....

you guessed it....

VIDEO GAMES!!!!!!! Looked to be some variant of gamecube or N64. Way to promote obesity, McDonalds.

Also worth noting was the lack of a playground/area full of colored balls that used to be found at McDonalds, back in the day.
