I just saw a commercial for this on tv, and wanted to share my enthusiasm with all of u. I still won't eat them, but I thought it was an enormous step in the world of chicken pieces. :D

In the t.v. ad, they say "made with white meat", which says to me they're not all white meat or they're planning to change to some mix later.

Still, it only took them 18 years?

I know, I saw the commercial a while back. What made me laugh is how in there advertising, they make out the old McNuggets to be really good. Ha.

Most places in the world prefer dark meat. It has some flavor! The chicken renderers here sell much more white than dark meat, and the rest of the world is more than happy to get the rest. All meats are much less flavorful as the animals are bred to be leaner and leaner. White chicken meat is the same... less fat, less flavor.

Take your turkey legs from Thanksgiving and make a turkey mole' from them. Yumm!

i liked them before, its the only thing i get at mcdonalds, and now they taste even better, now you all can make fun of me but i will never deny my love for the chicken mcnuggets

I actually prefer white meat over dark. Well I just learned something new today eyelikeart, thank you. I thought that the McDonalds chicken mcnuggets already used white meat. The reason could be that I don't ever remember having the product.

That is OK iJon, I'm not going to make fun of you. The chicken is still better than the hamburger. A person needs to splurge once in a while! If you like the chicken mcnuggets for a treat, then that is all that really matters. ;)

I think prior to this they used a mix, some were white, some were dark. You could actually very easily tell. I guess now they're just all white meat.

I don't care what colour meat is used (or what part of the chicke!!) but I like McNuggets (don't like much else at McDonalds and tend to eat elsewhere if I am looking for junk food). I do not know if the meat is different in Japan but the overall taste seems better here than the nuggets I had in NY a couple of months back. Maybe I am imagining it, but food requirements could be different.

On a slightly off topic side note, the Teriaki McBurger is quite good, or is that the McTeriaki Burger....

my god...18 years?!

Yeah, I worked for the restaurant equipment company which supplied the McNugget cabinets way back then, plus those for the Wendy's SuperBar. That was a good time when the company was running 24/7. We won the President's Award for Exports also--all 200 some of us. :)

Ever wonder what they do with all the human surgical waste? Yeah. Now it's just bleached white.

I worked for McDonalds and we actually had a contract with CAL Trans in CA for any fresh/intact road kill they picked up. But we scraped the contract after a year because of the increase in purchases of McNuggets, we just didn't have enough dead animals to keep the supply going. But at McDonalds we liked the term, "Living Challenged Animals," (LCA) Over "dead animals" or
"Road kill."
So now it's only surgical waste. The whole "white meat" thing is actually kind of a play on words; the executives thought would be funny. Sex changes have surgical waste too. :D

Funny Story:
We actually made SARS. We discovered it by accident when we put a Filet-O-Fish® Sandwich too close to a Butterfinger® McFlurry™ 16oz.

I don't work or have ever worked for McDonalds and my post was a joke.

It's funny, because here in winnipeg the colour of the meat inside the nugget was always "white". That doesn't mean that it's breast meat, and in the new commercial they don't use the term breast meat either. They just use the term "white" to trick you into thinking they mean breast meat. Really It's the same crap meat they always used, but they probably have some new way of bleaching the meat that makes it taste a little better. These guys are funny. You have to watch what they say, and what they don't say. ;)

If they would say they are bigger, meatier, tastier, jucier breasts them I'm all for it.

If all they did was change the color...

Had them today. There was a mild change in taste. (very mild.) Different seasoning really.

Nothing to write home about.

Ah, McDonalds...

I would like to educate so many people who work there, sure its stressful, come come on guys, get half of the orders correct, ok?

:(
Everyone always complains, but I very rarely have my order screwed up at McD's or any other fast food joint. I don't know, maybe it's because KY is so poor, when we get a job at McDonald's we take it seriously!
Really, though, I was in Chicago earlier this year, and the cashier did not speak english. I had point to the kids to get a Happy Meal. Then my wife ordered an Uno, and I asked for a Siete. And a homeless man we had befriended order his Cinco, and we all got our orders perfectly. Same thing in Ft. Lauderdale in July. No problems.

i had the new mcnuggets about 3 months back, and i haven't had them since. they're crap. the old ones were awesome but these new ones are bland, dry and the batter was worse too. i'll give them another chance though in case the ones i had were sitting out for a while or something. why is everyone so sceeved out about dark meat??? it's far tastier than white meat. sure it has more fat, but so what, just order a diet coke with it instead.

Its things like 'No pickles' and 'Kids Happy Meal with a Coke. A large Coke... ect'
Then they either leave on the pickles... or give us only one soda.

OK, you are correct. I can remember as a five year old, I hated pickles. I always asked for no pickles, I always received pickles. I guess I conditioned myself not to ask for anything that is not specifically mentioned on the menu, and that is why I don't have any problems.

That reminds me of a Rally's commercial from a few years back. A guy orders a hamburger with no pickles at a restaurant that is obviously portraying McDonald's, and the cashier just kind of freezes up like he is so unsure of what to do that he's afraid to try anything. He then calls a manager and tells the manager of the no picles request. The manager calls a regional manager and tells him that they have a customer wanting no pickles. The regional manager yells "You know I can't approve that!!" And slams the phone down. He then calls the corporate office, who contacts the president of the company, who approves the no pickles request. Someone calls the store back and lets them know that they got the go-ahead for the burger with no pickles, and then it shows a cook simply take the pickles off of the already-made burger, and toss them aside. You had to see it. Funny stuff.

Oh yea, to stay on topic, I prefer Wendy's chicken nuggets, though they appear to be made from the same mystery meat as McD's.

I take it that you are a frequent customer of McDonald's MrMacman. For me personally would say that it was about five years ago that I visited. My order was correct to the best of my recollection.

Did you discuss with a staff member, that you are having a problem with incorrect orders?
