md5 or SHA for iOS 9 GM?

    Hi can someone that's a registered developer confirm the SHA-1 and MD5 for the ipsw file for a iPhone 6? Thanks

    Ultimately it's not likely something that would matter given that to install an update it has to be validated as being the correct one with Apple right at the beginning and during the installation process, so it's not like there can be some unofficial or bad copies around--either one that is the right one that works, or some other one that won't even start installing.

    Thanks for pointing that out to me. Figured I might as well ask just to be on the safe side. Do you by any chance know how is it that iTunes knows how to verify the ipsw file? Very curious

    It's veryfied with Apple's servers. You cannot even change a single byte. Don't worry, this part they got right.
