This just started yesterday... every time I plug my phone in to sync it, MDCrashReportTool (to report the iPhone crash logs) crashes.

I've rebooted and re-installed iTunes 7.7.1 and it's still doing it.

How do I make it stop?

same thing happened to me, i think its because you might have deleted your crash report folder?(just a guess because thats what i did)

Just restore your phone, thats how i fixed it.:D

Same thing here and I've not deleted this folder. Pain in the butt. Can't be bothered restoring my iPhone though. Takes forever to copy everything back on.

I've had this on and off SINCE I bought my new 16 GB iPhone - and with three restores, has not stopped it from happening.

    Thanks...

    Here's something that may work:

Open a new finder window and go to /Users/<your username>/Library/Logs/CrashReporter, then delete all files beggining with "MDCrashReportTool"

I have found that it is usually the log files on the iPhone itself that cause it to blow up. Restoring the phone obviously deletes those files. If there were only a way to remove the files from CrashReport foler on the phone... too bad apple doesn't provide a clean my crashreport folder option on the phone itslef.

iTunes 8 seems to have fixed this. For me at least.
