I am here using Leapord (MAC OS X 10.5) and I have been observing some things. The command "mdls" which is supposed to return the metadata for the file to me behaves differently in the Leapord than what it used to do in the Tiger. I am finding some special characters in the Leapord e.g.
kMDItemAuthors = (
01
)
now here when I use the same in the Tiger I get the output ...
kMDItemAuthors = (01)
I don't understand why is there such a difference. Can some one throw some light .
