mDNSResponder safe to remove?

I've been trying to fully remove netatalk and it's dependencies, one of which is mDMSResponder. Is this safe to remove? Or will it affect other things like syncing, ifile, ssh, etc? TYIA

Keep it. Its very important and it deals with Bonjour and many apps depend on it.
