Media Not Syncing

What do I need to do with this kind of media? I'm pretty sure it's just that the bitrate is too high. What app should I use to lower the BR, if it is indeed causing the problem? I thought Handbrake would work, but no. I don't have iLife. Thanks.

Much of my music collection is Apple lossless and it syncs fine but there might be a problem with your encode. Try running it through XLD.
