New to Catalina and to using Music instead of iTunes. On my old computer, I could use iTunes and play music from anywhere in the house from my iPhone. Now that I am using Catalina, I hit a snag.

On the Sharing screen, I can't even highlight the "Home Sharing" option. I can see my library name, but it's not highlighted. It won't even allow be to check off the boxes.

My music can play on the computer within the Music app, and the Apple ID is the same on the computer and my phone.

Can you post a screenshot of your Sharing screen? Does it look like this?

Sure. It won’t even let me click on Media Sharing or Home Sharing. Sometimes it will let me put in my password, but nothing changes.

You may want to deauthorize all Macs and then authorize only this new Mac to play shared content.

”Note: If you already have five Mac computers authorized to play content purchased from the iTunes Store or the Apple TV app, you can’t turn on Home Sharing for another Mac. See Authorize a Mac to play iTunes Store purchases.”
