i just came from a windows machine, and i was a mediamonkey whore - i was able to rename files, edit metadata, look up/embed album art, and manage multiple mp3 directories all in one window.

coming to mac, i found itunes very limiting when trying to self-manage my music collection. i did some googling and came across this mediamonkey MacOS wrapper:

http://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/browse/item/mac-osx-mediamonkey/

anyone try this before?

since nobody chimed in, i decided to try this out tonight and was actually able to do everything i needed media monkey to. the UI looks like windows 95, but all the functionality is intact.

no more itunes!
