My wife is treating covid patients. Do you recommend sticking to the solo and regular sports bands?

From a hygienic safety point of view, the Solo loop is the easiest and fastest of the bands to clean.

Your wife could also get a product called phonesoap, which will kill germs on electronic devices and other items that can fit inside in a matter of a few minutes.

Is the nature of your question relating to which would be the most hygienic choice? I'm unsure what exacting you are asking.
Exactly. She wears a watch. She loves the sport loops but it seems the solo or sports band would be easier to clean.

I am a doctor and also treat covid patients. I have space black link bracelet, we have one of those UV light things in our hospital that I use time to time. don't think it matters too much, she could probably use any that she prefers.

I was always under the impression that for any infection control it was bare below the elbows whether Covid or not ..... depending on role of course.

Working in semiconductor the biotech that’s the rule as well. Physical Therapist are a different brred. over the last 24 years I have learned it’s easier to provide solutions and not ask questions.

My wife has an extensive career in ER, I asked her your question and due to infection control (long before covid) neither she or her staff wear anything below the elbow, including rings (other than a plain wedding band if it can’t be removed) no watches or anything else that can harbour infection, perhaps your wife’s workplace protocols for infection control are different.

We've been told to not wear anything below the elbow. I haven't worn my wedding ring since February and no watches at work. We're inpatient but not directly contacting Covid (psychiatry).
Looking forward to the vaccine.

I do not enter with my Apple Watch to the contaminated area, even with the watch below 2 or 3 pairs of gloves and a throwaway waterproof coat (robe?, In Spanish we say "bata desechable impermeable").

The watch, phone, my Montblanc, ID card, wallet, home and car keys, as well as the rest of my gadgets stay outside the isolated area under key in my desk drawer, in the "white" area.

I however, prefer the silicon and fluoroelastomer bands to go to the hospital. They are more easily and thoroughly cleaned with water and soap or with alcohol.

I don't get to touch my stuff again until after a shower and alcohol flushing.
