The English is sufficiently vague it can be taken in two ways.
It's only vague and unclear, if you don't have a solid grasp of the English language mate. Whats more, the followup post from the same person hammers home that their view is as I described it.

Pick the way that suits your agenda/point of view
Is that how you live life? When someone says something you disagree with, rather than questioning it, you just decide that they must have meant something you agree with?

Alternatively if you’re sufficiently biased you’ll put a spin on the English that was never intended.
