I run a dual 1.8 power mac G5 10.3.9, and have had it for about 5 years. A couple of weeks ago some fans started revving up which had never happened before. I installed Temperature Monitor (free ware) and it told me that my Memory Controller Heatsink is running around 146 to 150 degrees. When the temp hits 150 the fans kick in until it drops down to about 148. I went into system preferences and changed the processor performance to reduced and that cooled it off a bit, but i run processor intensive programs and i can't do that all the time.

Where is the memory controller heatsink (m.c.h.) located in my g5? I think i need to replace a fan but i don't know which one. Thanks!
