Free memory space on my hard drive is dissapearing at a very quick rate and it seems to be independent of any files I save.

My hard drive filled up completely last week and I deleted 26GB of pictures and music. It has since filled up again, I have definitely not saved enough files to fill that space. Free memory space seems to dissapear in the 100's of MB by the hour.

It's stopping me from saving word files and from using my computer properly.

Does anyone know if this is a common problem? and does anyone have any ideas of how to solve it?

    Cheers!

This seems to be an ongoing issue with some people. They are finding that some log files are getting caught in a loop, and get bigger and bigger....

Search this forum as this has been discussed. They are some apps that can pinpoint large files, and allow you to delete them.

Are you downloading torrents? Many torrent programs create dummy files when the file first begins to download.
