I want to upgrade my 13" 2.26GHz MBP memory to 4GB, where should I go?
Don't go to OWC. I had to return mine today. Crap.
I'd use datamem.com
...and another for Crucial.
What they ^^^ said.
Newegg is great. Here's a link to the RAM that I bought. It works great.
can anyone tell me why not owc?
i've just decided to order memories from owc...
It's $10 more?
Buying Crucial from Amazon?
Found this on Amazon for the same price as the one on the Crucial website:
Would this be the best deal since i heard that you don't have to pay sales tax for items sold by Amazon.com directly?
crzdmaniac's newegg link is much cheaper.
I've ordered 4 Raid 0 external harddrives from OWC over the past 4 years or so. All are in great shape. I've had 4GB in my iMac for a while now and had maxed out my old 1st gen Macbook pro with memory from them. All with no problems. Go figure.
Same question, Cruical does not have the MBP 13-inch ready, can I buy the old one???
I'd suggest OWC. I've had good success with them in the past for my needs.
They do have it last I checked and if I misread the site, it should be no different than the MacBook it replaces and the rest of the MacBook Pro line: DDR3 1066MHz 204-pin - basically any RAM that works with the 15" or 17" should also work in the 13".
Ok Thank you!
I've never ever had an issue with OWC ram. I'd be surprised to hear there was actually an issue, and not that it was just an isolated case of one defective chip not working. I was planning on going with OWC when the 8GB kits come down in price.
