Memory & Hard Drive Upgrade Help?

I am planning on buying a new Mac Pro and It seem to me that apple gouges you on memory and hard drives, so if I add my own memory what brand do you suggest (and where to get it) and what kind of hard drives does apple use in it's Mac Pros and where can I get them? Or are there better drive that are cheaper?

Or maybe and external raid for DV Editing?

Why pay $400 for 500gb when I can buy them all day long for less than $200?

I recommend buying ram from either datamem or from OWC. 🙂

go to www.newegg.com to buy your internal HD's. great prices, fast shipping. External isn't as fast as internal. Always remember that if you're going to be doing lots of video editing.
