I've just experienced a really weird thing happen on my iPhone 4. I had 0 bytes of memory left on my 16gb phone and the phone was running slow. Then I noticed my memory increasing by about 2mb per second until it reached 1.1gb. Not that I'm complaining that I have more memory now :) but does anyone know what has caused this increase of free space on my phone ? There appears to be no data missing from the phone however I did notice that my Flickr app was displaying the message "cleaning" under the app icon. Any help on the matter would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Liam

In iOS 5, the phone will automatically delete cache files when memory is low. That's what you were seeing, and that's what Flickr was cleaning.

That's interesting that the Flickr let you know it was cleaning, haven't seen that message yet.
