Hi all,

Any help would be appreciated...!

Last Thursday I started doing work on my mac (using word 2011). I saved it to my memory pen, which has now stopped working. I didn't back it up anywhere (stupid, I know). However, on the 'recently opened' list in word, I can see it there.

Does anybody know if there is a way of getting that file back, if its not on my memory pen?

ANY help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Ryan

The "recently opened" list in Word is essentially a list of links - these lead to where ever the files are actually stored, eg your thumbdrive. Remove the actual files and the links become useless.

It is possible that the steps outlined here may assist you.

Failing that, provide more information on what the thumbdrive is doing (as opposed to "not working"), and anything you're aware of that might've led to its non-functional state.
