Memory support question

    I have a 2006 model mac pro. Its 2.66 proc model.
    Will this RAM modules be backward compatible with my Mac Pro?

    I know that my Mac Pro has PC2 5300 Modules but I came across a good deal on PC2 6400 modules.

    You can get 4GB (2x2GB) PC2 5300 from OWC www.macsales.com for $130.

    All current Mac Pros should support both speeds compatible FB-DIMMs though.
