Currently have a mid 2009 Macbook 15" with 2X2GB of 1066Mhz (PC8500) SODIMM and want to upgrade it to 2X4GB.
Are there any brand that do not do well with a Macbook?
Assuming I can always use faster (like 1333Mhz) memory in the Macbook and the Macbook will just set the speed to 1066Mhz?
Earlier today I was able to clone the Macbook's hard drive to a 500GB SSD (Samsung 840 EVO), installed the SSD and it worked :)
I've done a fair amount of Win PC desktop builds, so I have decent hardware experience, just have never worked on any Apple computer (or Macbook), until today.

OWC is a great place for Mac specific products, but I've personally have used Crucial.com for most all my memory purchases.

You can select your system from drop down menus and it'll give you a solid option.

+1 for both -- I've used memory form both, and had good service from both.

Crucial over owc if price is an issue.

As for your ssd upgrade don't forget to enable trim.
