So yesterday I 'pre-ordered' the Rose Gold iPhone 6s. Have yet to see it in real life, but so far the pictures on the internet seem to confirm what I thought the color looks like. Pretty sure I'm keeping it.
I just want to hit heads with a hammer for saying this color is anywhere close to being a girly color! I recently got my phone & no one, literally no one thought it could be perceived girly in any sense! I can't believe that people are still discussing this stupid obnoxious topic!
It was a non-starter for me, when it came time to pre-order.
But after seeing it live, I would choose the Rose Gold; especially after seeing how Leo LaPorte on TWiT warmed up to it.
It's pretty cool how it shimmers from pink to peach/gold-ish.
Not an issue for one to be insecure about. In fact, now that I'm contemplating returning my Plus for a regular size model, i find myself searching out stores with Rose Gold available.

Okay i know there have been a lot of threads about this but hear me out.
1) I'm secure in my masculinity and im straight so i dont have a problem with having a pink phone.
2) I know people say who cares what others think of you, but...
Let's be honest, everything we do - what we wear, how we act, what we buy, etc is in part influenced by how other people look at you. Would you wear ratty neon colored clothes 24/7? No, because we want to look nice and make good impressions. So let's be honest, is it awkward to have a pink phone?
I bring this up now because I had a bad experience at a local convenience store. The convenience store was advertising that they now accept Apple Pay (took them long enough, lol). i got out my 128GB Rose Gold iPhone 6+, and tapped it to the e-reader. Something beeped and then it said "transaction not authorized" on the reader even though my phone brought up my credit card on Apple Pay. i was flustered, tried again but got the same result. This drew the attention of the clerk who leaned over and looked at my phone I audibly heard her giggle when she saw it. She said "your phone is cute! but apparently it doesnt want to let you pay". I was so embarrassed at this point that I gave up and handed her my American Express card.
Anyway, I like the pink, but if we're honest with ourselves, Apple made two phones for each gender: Space Gray and Gold for men, and Silver and Rose Gold for women. I didn't want to worry about what others think of me, but after that horrible experience at the store I'm likely going to see about exchanging my phone for a 128GB Gold model.

I just whip out my manhood when I pull out my phone. Turns the giggles into gasps of astonishment. Of course, it takes me 15 minutes just to get everything readjusted afterwords...
And Space Grey is the only man's color. Gold is for transgender. Need a color for every spectrum of the rainbow, dontcha know?
C
Gold is for transgender?
A black phone with a dull grey back isn't very exciting is it? White/silver for me. My second choice would be white/gold and after that I guess the slate grey but meh.
*An oft-quoted 1918 Ladies’ Home Journal article declared that: “There has been a great diversity of opinion on the subject, but the generally accepted rule is pink for the boy and blue for the girl. The reason is that pink, being a more decided and stronger colour, is more suitable for the boy, while blue, which is more delicate and dainty, is prettier for the girl.”
