Menu Bar Freezing under OSX SL

MacBookPro 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo

Upgraded to SL
Menu bar frozen please see attached pdf

Have tried to create bootable on external usb drive. Same problem exists
ZaPram tried.
Repaired permissions etc.

Still no luck ? Any suggestions folks, many thanks
