Also - if you were charged today, I'd think there's a really good chance that you'll be getting your iPad this week.
Oh yea, but like the WiFi launch, they can ship all the way up until Wednesday and still make it to the mainland US by Friday... it takes about 2 days to make it from China to here... about 1 day (technically) if the right shipping method and verrry tight time constraints are used.
So I think people should not worry if they didn't see an update today, because Apple's HonHai factory is currently pumping out more 3G's as we speak (11AM in Hong Kong right now
), and many may see an update in the AM (like some people said, their charges were expected to go through either tomorrow or Wednesday. I have yet to call my CC Company but ehh).mine was ordered at 5:33am, 4 minutes earlier and still no cc charge!!!

As long as it doesn't delay my iPad shipping I have no problem with it what-so-ever. I had my identity on my credit card stolen a couple of years ago. It's scary stuff.

May take a day or so, depending on how fast they want them to leave. They may want them all to arrive on the 23rd (like the April 3rd WiFi release) as to not have any iPads out in the world to those who ordered, before they are available in Apple Retail stores... which is possible that Apple might update their store tonight and make reservations available / say they have them available in store on the 23rd. They might also announce it at tomorrow's earnings call...

I am not sure it is really a "launch". The first ones were the launch.

I am a long time lurker and have just seen this thread. I just wanted to let you all know that my Visa Credit card was charged this morning at 5:59 AM and I got the email soon after.
I just checked my order status and it now has been updated to Priority shipping and "Prepared for Shipment"! Here is a screen clip:

luvapple, I am very happy for you, if this is true. My main two concerns with the posted image are 1. The text is very different from the text on the apple order page. 2. Usually when apple ships the item says "delivers by date". This one says "delivered by 4/23".
Again, this could be minor things and this might be completely real and if so, congrats! I'm very happy for you. But with apple, seeing is believing, and for me until I see this on my account, I won't believe.

I am skeptical about it still (I would be skeptical about anything I say too, haha).
But in reality, I won't get reeeeaallly excited until i see 2103192783 people making new threads about it here (haha hopefully not that many tho xD).
Until then (and when mine processes), still looking forward to my "reassured by Apple" ship "month-section-thing" we are calling "Late April"
