[Merged] iPad 3G Ship Rumors

I think this is likely just for new orders. Those who pre-ordered should get theirs by "late april".

It didn't take long for the wifi-only to change from April 3rd to April 12th.

I agree. I wish the CD rate in US is 5%, so that my $829 would mean something in the bank then just numbers.

My order still says late April...I'm holding them to it😀 It would be bad business to have an order say late April and ship in May.

I have to believe this is the cut off point, all new pre orders from the 19th on will be May 7th.
 
Calm down guys. This seems to be for new orders. On my order status it still says Late April. It seems to me those of us that have already pre ordered will still get our iPads shipped this month.
 
Woah found this out because I was teetering towards pre-ordering it tonight. Nevermind that!

I'm so glad I preordered mine 4/15. =D

Orginally I got flack for it because "Why don't you wait for them to at least announce the date?" "Well I'm going to get it anyway, so why does it matter?"

Now I'm so glad! =D
 
thank god i pre ordered on the 14th, well i really hope this is for new orders since im really anxious to get one now.
 
Credit Card Just Charged $13 for 2 Day Shipping

FYI, I have no idea if this means anything and I Know all iPad orders now have a shipping method of "priority"... but on 3/12, I asked for the 2 day shipping option which was $13 and it was just charged on my credit card...
 
I am a bit confused how this works. Let's say theoretically the iPad shipped today, wouldn't that mean if you had overnight they would be here by tomorrow? Will ones ordered online get to people before ones go on sale in-store? I do not know how this worked for the WiFi iPad, my only exerience is they tend to ship video games to arrive on the day of the in-store release.

i dont know why people say that they have been charged. Please give proof, i just checked my account and i havent been charged yet either

i think its setup like this, the day u get ur Ipad in the mail is the same day they are available in store. At least i think thats the way they did it with the wifi version.

I would think that would be the goal, otherwise people would be reselling their early ones for huge profit to people who can't wait a few days 😛

If I had to take a guess, I would say the end of this week. That's assuming the pre orders are shipping within the next two days. In my mind, this first round of iPad 3Gs will go to the early pre orderers and Apple Stores.
That's just an educated guess, though.

exactly! But i dont know, im hoping they atleast ship the ones people already pre ordered before they changed it to May 7th. I mean come on, this is too much of a wait😡
