I've got to meet someone at 2pm, it's 12:30 here in Houston and I know it's 'before 3pm' but I was hoping to pull it off.
It's raining so not sure about the note on the door business.

I've purpsefully avoiding going to the apple store to play with an iPad, shunned my friends with them because I want the first time to be special with my precioussss.

at last!!!!!
Finally! as of about 10 minutes ago. The FedEx truck pulled up, then the driver spent about 6 weeks or so banging around inside the truck, while I hopped around barefoot in the sunshine, about to die from impatience. But he finally emerged, box in hand. I asked if he'd had a lot of these to deliver today, and he said, yeah, he had. And lots of folks glad to see him? Oh yeah, that too. 🙂

So it is 1:52 here, and still no sign of the FedEx guy! I'm patiently waiting... I guess only an hour and 8 minutes to go at most...

Received mine at 11:00AM
My delivery arrived at 11:00 AM, the Fedex driver indicated he had about 50 on his truck. It sounds like it will be a busy Friday for Fedex today, given this was one drivers feedback.
With all of the preorders it may bode well for those heading to stores to pickup today.
