You don't get it until you use it. I thought it was pointless at first, but you meet and interact with others with the same interests as you and its good fun talking to others.

twitter is a social network that is built around micro (140 characters) blogging. The content you see is completely dependent on who you follow, so you can see alot of good (news related) or bad (lifestreaming)

Seems to me it's like texting irrelevant stuff to all your friends –*only on the web.
Anyway, I'm not looking for a discussion, so I guess I'll just have to settle with "never going to get it" ...
