Indeed, it obviously is a hoax. Just look at the other videos on that site.Blatant.

I'd do it. I used to have a Dell Axim that ran Windows Mobile 2003. It was great. There are an amazing amount of apps available for them, and they aren't restricted by Apple's stupidity (namely, the App Store and their denying apps). Also the ability to have full use of Office apps would be great, along with many other things.
Bwahahaha![]()
because windows mobile is more capable than iPhone. It's not as pretty or as simple, but it's much more powerful. same deal for the applications available for each. WM apps offer much more power and utility.
the only thing iphone does better is media.
Um-do you have any support for this comment? Have you ever used WM? There is no way it is "much more powerful". If you had said "much more lame" I would agree-and I used to own the T-Mobile Dash-so yes I HAVE had experience with it.
Agreed.
I cannot think of a reason why I would ever pursue doing this.
Not a surprise considering it uses an ARM processor...
But no. Why would you want something so crappy on your iPhone?
I've used it daily since the 700w came out then used a 700wx for the last 2.5+ years since that came out.
A Tmobile dash is such a poor implementation with WM, that you, my friend are the one that has no experience with it. The dash is mostly considered a joke by those that use WM. No offense.
A WM phone can do 10x the things an iPhone can do, and I use both on a daily or near daily basis.
I've had my iPhones since day 2 of 3g launch.
I dunno- a friend of mine has the 700wx (I think, is this the HST (could have that name wrong too) phone?) and he has iPhone envy. I am a life long windows person, just recently switching to all Mac-and I must say-Apple's old ad line of a Mac "just working" seems true to me on both the phone and the Mac Mini.
Some guy, somewhere, did something, that let him run WinMo on an iPhone:

Who would be willing to sell their (iPod's) soul and run WinMo on it? Why?
It's a choreographed video. Win won't run on the hardware.
After looking at it again, it may simply be an iPhone app running that displays the appropriate screens and actions in a choreographed video.I posted links to videos of it working!
Could there be a port?Win won't run on the hardware.
Interesting. It's most likely choreographed, but not for the reason you state.
WM does run on an ARM device, and it's documented enough that a good hacker could do a port, at the least by using some of the Apple code. (I once ported a specialized GUI to the Atari ST, using some of the ST ROM code in situ for low level graphics initialization and mouse input.)

. The dash is mostly considered a joke by those that use WM. .
Wanna back that up? They run (basically) the same OS, and big thing the Treo has is a touch screen, and higher specs. But they are indeed "close in capability"Anyhow a dash isn't even close to a treo in capability.
I would expect that in the future, more powerful and capable apps will be introduced.I mean, I love the iPhone OS, but still, there comes certain times where the option would be nice.
Basically is not the same. I've played with a Q many times and a blackjack twice. I'd call them a poor implementation of WM.Its a pretty basic one, much like the BlackJack or Moto Q. Not amazing, but hardly poor.
Yes, all WM meet on a committee and decide what is a joke phone and what is amazing phone. I spend a large amount of time on smartphone forums, and there isn't a "Dash is a joke" feeling. I'll admit people don't go around talking about how its the best WM device out there, but its hardly a bad one.
