    Hello all,

I really hope that this is the right forum for this, but I wonder if you could help me with a problem. I have an old Mac Pro that for many years was my main computer, but now I find my Macbook Pro to be the only computer I regularly use. The problem is that I have all my old music on the MP, including my iPhone sync, while all the music I have bought and added in the last year or two is on my MBP. I can easily transfer the files from one to the other, but would then lose all the play information that I have taken years to build up. I can export the library bit in an XML file, but can't see a way to add this info to the library on my MBP. Anyone have an easy (and free!) way of doing this?

    Thanks in advance,

    David

Why not copy the entrire library folder over. It will contain not only the music files but the database too. Copy it any place yo like then on the Macbok you point iTunes at that location. That is not "merging" it is moving. Then later you can add in what is on the macbook.
