Message App issue

I woke up to a text notification, went to the app to read it and the app was blank. No messages, just the title Message at the top. The badge showed the number of unread messages and I could read it in notifications. Can’t send any messages. The send arrow is green as well as any contact I add as a recipient. I can get, send and read the messages on my watch, iPad, and MacBook Air. I am now up to engineering for a fix. Apple has not seen this happen before. Not looking for advice on fixing as we’ve done everything including wiping and restoring.

Apparently I am not the only one. Apple engineers are working on a fix and those affected will be the first to receive it.

did you ever get this fixed? I'm having the same issue on 11.2.5 and restore did not fix.

No. On Monday I am going to insist that they send me a new phone so I can decide if it’s a software or hardware issue. Nothing fixes it. :-( I’ve tried just about everything.

Upgrading to 11.2.6 fixed it for me, give that a try if you haven't already.
