Message in iCloud - no sync?

    Hi,

    today I had to reset my iPad and I had to use an older iCloud backup.
    That meant of course, that the Messages only showed till that backup, all the newer messages from that backup date till today are on my iPhone.

    I then activated „messages in iCloud“ on my iPhone and my iPad. Shouldn’t my iPad now load all the missing messages from my iPhone?
    Because this is not happening. Am I doing something wrong?

    are you on iOS 12? cause beta software can have issues. not working with Messages in the Cloud could be one such issue.

    No, 11.4
    Most messages are now synced but a lot of images are missing

    This is the iOS 12 forum, which might be why there's some confusion.
