Messages and phone number

I wonder how I get ML to receive messages sent to my phone number. iPad does it now with ios6, but the messages doesnt come to ML. But they should, right?! Any ideas?

Either the GM will add that functionality or it will be updated to work when iOS 6 comes out.

I am probably not understanding you?

Isn't it only other apple users ie; iMessage users that work across iPad, iPhone and Mac? iMessage is only data and has nothing to do with your phone number?

You are wrong; in the near future with Mountain Lion and iOS6 you can have your phone number in your computer for iMessages and other iOS devices.

TS I believe it will come in the GM.
