Messages app: Group chat images don't sync

Hi everyone,

I updated to Big Sur and noticed that the group chat images that I set on my iPhone don't appear here. Instead, the participants appear as these little circles. Anyone else having the same issue?
 
Anyone knows if these are supposed to sync or do I have to manually re-do them on the Mac?
