Anyone else experience this?

The app either loads -- without showing my messages or anything else -- and then crashes when I try to load my message by going to Window -> Show Messages.

If it doesn't do that, I get a login screen for iMessage but it never goes past that screen. I've restarted, etc. Any ideas.

Problem with Facebook contacts

Unable to connect to iMessage in Mavericks DP4 and DP5.

Is there anyone having problem with connecting with Facebook contacts I am not sure if it is a password problem or a beta problem ?

Found this in the Apple Developer forum. Hope it helps.

"Found a fix! This was a tough one to figure out. What happened is there is a nib missing from the bundle: SignInViewController.nib.

What you should do is copy the nib from another locale into yours. I took the ukranian version (Messages.app/Contents/Resources/uk.lproj/SignInViewController.nib) and copied it into English.lproj and everything works fine!"

can u upload that file. i use mackeeper and i think it deleted all my language files but english

Am having exactly the same problem however I do not understand how a Ukranian file can help me (safely)...

(edit) Thanks! I just took the Dutch one from the package and copied it. Now it is working without having to download a Ukranian file from unknown origin :)

My problem came back in another form: now I had all the appropriate screens however it didn't log in.

Kust did a complete clean reinstall of OS X (copied everything with CC Cloner to USB disk - restarted from that disk and then did clean install on my SSD) and now everything is working properly.

It took a while because OS X wanted to install newest DP's every time (starting at 0) but at least now I have Mavericks DP 5 working at full extends.

At least this worked! Your solution also worked but only once.

Thanks again!

BR,
Michel
