I think since ios18 beta and still occurring on ios18 public release update, many of my message threads on my iPhone keep getting automatically moved to the ‘recently deleted’ folder. Every time I recover the message thread & force a sync with cloud, it still removes the thread from my messages and to my recently deleted folder, so essentially it’s not sticking that I want to keep this thread and not have it be deleted. Strange thing is none of those recently deleted messages have been deleted by me. Yet they keep going into recently deleted . I have my iOS device set for iCloud sync and my MacBook doesn’t sync to iCloud. All settings are “forever. “ I don’t have a watch or any other Apple device. Cheers.
