messages bugs between ios 8 and os x 10.10 dp

is anyone else having troubles receiving imessages - they come eg. 2 days later then they should be, and don't pop up on the mac either?
i reckon it's continuity but just wondering, its been happening since b5 and dp5.
This also happens with SMS, i have to reboot the mac to receive the SMS on the DP.
I have a iPhone 4S and a rMBP late 2013 model.
