Messages "Busy" appears as "Idle" in GTalk?

Title says it all.

Signed in to Gchat and only Gchat with messages, and when I set the status to "away", it shows me as idle to anyone else.

Anyone know how to fix this? (or alternate desktop im contacts where this works properly?)
