Messages doesn't show contact names for SMS conversations?

So I set up SMS Relay and it works perfectly, except for one problem. When I receive a new SMS, the notification that pops up has the name of the person who sent the SMS, when I click the notification the Messages app displays the phone number instead of the Contact Name. Is this normal, seems kinda dumb if it is?

maybe add the international prefix and country prefix in your contacts then the name should appear

I quit messages and opened it again and it seems to be working. Only have one SMS conversation going, will see what happens when I get more.
