Messages don't reorder after deletion

Previously if I deleted a text or texts from a conversation, the list of messages automatically reordered so that the topmost conversation was the one with the most recent undeleted message. With ios8, the most recent conversation you have participated in stays at the top of the pile, even if the most recent undeleted message was days ago!

    Annoying....

Or perhaps a more realistic way of representing it--even though you might have deleted some messages the placement indicates that there was in fact activity in that conversation that corresponds to the placement of it in the list of all conversations by how recently there was some activity in them (whether it was actually deleted or not).
