If you go into Settings > Messages:

On my 4: It says "Receive at: 2 Addresses". One is my phone number (which is greyed out) and the other is my Apple ID e-mail.

On my GF's 3GS: It only shows 1 address, her Apple ID e-mail, with the only option to add another e-mail, not her phone number.

What's the deal here?

Both running the iOS 5 GM.

Hmm...I have a 3GS running iOS 5 GM and I see the "Receive At: 2 Addresses" with one being the phone number (also greyed out) and the other being the Apple ID email.

Does your girlfriend have "Send As SMS" turned off? Perhaps that could be it. Not sure about that though.
