Hi

I’ve been having this problem for a while now but I can nowhere find a solution.
My iCloud storage says messages are taking up 4,2 GB of space even after deleting all conversations.
I tried to turn off the feature, turn back on and still that is occupying 4 GB even if there is no single message in the app.
How can I get my space back and start fresh?

Do you have any other iOS or MacOS devices? When I first turned on Messages in iCloud I had the same problem. My iPad for some reason wasn't syncing so I had to delete all my messages there too.

I have here a Mac, an iPhone and an iPad. I have no messages on all devices now but still the cloud says there is more than 4 GB space taken. I'm waiting for a call from Apple now, let's see what they say

I think you need to leave it deactivated for 30 days before it actually gets deleted for good. It only does it beforehand if you are running out of iCloud space
