Messages not syncing

Messages sent and received appear on my iphone5, ipad4 and MacBook Air, but none sent or received on ipad2 appear anywhere else, even though all of them have the current OS.

Any ideas?
 
Try turning FaceTime and iMessages off on the affected device. Wait about 10 minutes and try turning them on again.
