Anyone’s Messages app showing the incorrect number of unread messages?

I reinstalled clean and restored from my backup and they were gone. A little annoying but almost everything came back since it was an iOS 27 backup.

I was able to resolve this by turning off all the filters in settings (promotions, spam, etc.) then selecting view only unread messages, then finally marking them as read. The ones that appeared for me were over two years old.

I then turned back on my filtering.

I tried this on phone did not have any unread, will have to check iPad and Mac later.

Well my iPad seems to be fixed… yes I’ll just deal with it until the next beta.

And now MacBook seems to be normal but my
Phone is still downloading from iCloud as well as indexing….guess I’ll wait until it’s done indexing and try a forced sync, and if that does not work turn off iMessage delete all and try turning back on before wiping the whole thing.

Yes and when I select unread it shows zero. I ask Siri to read unread messages she keeps reading the same one but will not mark it read please submit feedback I already have.
