Messages.....ok how

On opening the Messages app I notices it say jabber offline along the bottom. But how can you login to iCloud so I can send and receive iMessages ?

I kinda have the same problem

My iphone is set to receive at my number and my @me.com

On my air 2011 i have Jabber, @me.com and 2 gmail.com

But only the jabber and the 2 @gmail.com goes online how do i put the @me.com online

Only problem is mine is asking to sign into Jabber 🙁 Anyone know hoe to make it try and login into iMessage please ?

I'm getting this at the moment. It has appeared on all my Macs, running Lion or ML that all have been logged in for months. I'm guessing iMessage is down at the moment. I'll give Apple some time.

iMessage working in Leeds 😛 I got a feeling that error message maybe something to do with the beta. Maybe ?
