Messages stopped working today

So today the strangest thing happened. I stopped receiving messages on my iPhone 5. I can send, but I don't get anything. My laptop gets the messages on messages app just fine.

I've tried rebooting as well as reseting the network settings. Any ideas?

sign out of iMessage and sign back in....that should get you going again. Had to do this a few times since I went with iOS7

I'm not sure this is an iOS7 thing. I had the same thing happen to me on my iOS 6 device. Seems to be ok now.
